You have to take out the incoming ships. Neon 2.5 is very similar to Geometry Wars.

This is a very strange game in which EVERYTHING can be upgraded. As an example, in the beginning the game has bad Atari-like graphics but you can purchase upgraded modern graphics. It’s an arcade shooter but is definitely more entertaining than your typical one.
